Live previews use the editor’s caption renderer. Motion requires captioned-video export; plain subtitle tracks do not preserve it.

A few things
worth knowing.
A useful AI subtitle generator should make the limits as clear as the features.
What is an AI subtitle generator?+
An AI subtitle generator recognizes speech in an audio or video recording and creates text with timestamps. You can then correct the words, adjust timing, and export subtitles or a captioned video.
Can I try the editor without signing up?+
Yes. The interactive sample, importing subtitle files, editing, styles, and subtitle file exports do not require an account. AI generation requires sign-in and credits; the quote appears before you submit.
Does this AI subtitle generator add a watermark?+
No watermark is added to subtitle file downloads or locally rendered captioned videos. AI processing is paid with credits, not an export fee.
How accurate are AI subtitles?+
Accuracy varies with accents, noise, overlapping speakers, and specialist language. Review every result before publishing. We show timing and readability warnings and flag lower-confidence segments when the recognition engine provides that information; we do not promise a fixed accuracy percentage.
Which subtitle format should I choose?+
Use SRT for broad video-platform compatibility, VTT for web players, ASS or SSA for styled editor workflows, and TXT for plain transcripts. SBV, SMI and JSON are also available. Plain SRT and VTT exports do not preserve the visual style you see in the preview.
Where is my recording processed?+
Video preview and caption rendering happen in your browser. When you generate subtitles, extracted audio is sent to our server and transcription provider. Completed AI transcripts are stored in your account. Local editing is not a backup: export a project file before closing the page.
Can I subtitle a YouTube video?+
Upload an original recording you own or have permission to use, then download an SRT or VTT file for YouTube Studio. This workspace does not download videos from a YouTube link.
